What a difference a day makes – Saturday was rainy and dreary followed by crystal clear Balsam skies and gorgeous fall colors on Sunday. Hopefully we have another week or so to enjoy it.

A surprise from mother nature last weekend with snow flurries all day Saturday and a dusting on the mountains above 5000 feet. It was a great weekend with friends and family to celebrate Passover and Easter.

Absolutely stunning fall colors today. This may be peak colors for the fall given the late start we had and coming rains. Hats off to whoever sited the platform and tables – this will be a great spot for future events.

Bethany hosted a great hike down trails 7 and 7a this morning. She also debuted a new service of the Trust where animals are paid to appear on cue for hikers! We were just assembling at the trail head off E. Reach when mom and two cubs appeared. The box turtle,...
